Follow, Follow is so-called because it contains canons (or rounds) where the players quite literally follow one another. The piece begins with a gentle melody played first by one person, then after a dreamy piano ripple by everyone as a round. A second melody is given the same treatment, after which a third is played first by the strings then by the piano. Finally the very first melody returns with a hint of regret.
