Victor Steinhardt

Victor Steinhardt, pianist, composer and teacher, received most of his musical training in Los Angeles. He earned degrees in piano and composition from Mount St. Mary's College and the University of California, where his principal teachers were Aube Tzerko in piano and Henri Lazarof in composition. Mr. Steinhardt has performed throughout the U.S. and in Europe and Taiwan as solo recitalist, chamber musician and concerto soloist. His recordings have been issued under the Olympic, Everest, Delos, Biddulph, Vox-Turnabout and CRI labels. He frequently performs his own compositions for solo piano and small chamber ensembles. TownHall records recently issued a recording of his compositions for solo piano and for violin/viola and piano, entitled "Sonata Boogie". Mr. Steinhardt is a professor of piano at the University of Oregon.
